Your guide for Nikko-city in Japan

"Never say kekko ['I've had enough'] . . . until you've seen Nikko." That's what japanese old-timers say. And indeed Nikko is a beautiful town to visit and you shouldn't miss it. Nikko is located in the Kanto region, in the prefecture Tochigi. Nikko is about 200km away from Tokyo. The most importants spots to visit are the Tōshō-gū shrine, Rinnō-ji temple, the Kegon-waterfalls and the Chūzenji pond. Nikko is a holy city since the 8th century, at first it was an important spot for buddhism, later for shintoism. Nikko is quite small with a population of 92,181 people.
